corrective iris planting

Hi. I planted several iris late last year in fall. They all came up really good

this year but no blooms at all. I then planted some new ones this summer from Blue jay iris, those seem to be doing good as well. All planted in full sun, but from what I can tell by searching

I planted them to deep, and thats why they didn't bloom.

When would be the time to dig them up and plant correctly? Also when is the time to split them, some of the ones from last year look like they could be split?

Here is a picture, I planted a lot more then this, this patch here has 5 from last year

and some of the new ones from this year?

thanks Matt
