Need help finding the right fern

I am looking for help in finding the right fern for my yard. I would like to plant ferns with my alliums, but the spot receives sun until about noon. I live in zone 7. I also don't want the ferns to get to much more the 3 to 3 1/2 feet tall. Does such a fern exist?
