Take them outside and hose them down. They do not need to soak - they only need to be sprayed with water. All I ever do is spray mine with a hose, either on the rain setting or mist setting, depending on how warm it is. Most of mine are supported with aluminum wires, and some with fishing wire. I have a few that are mounted to grape wood with glue, but eventually they get too heavy and come loose if glue is all that holds them in place.

I wanted to use fishing wire too but I was worried that it would damage the leaves. I've been gardening for well over 30 years but have never grown air plants so I have much to learn.
