living room furniture placement

Planning on having dining and living together. Don't plan on using the fireplace, thus not sure what focal point to choose with the rectangular layout to avoid making it feel too long. any ideas?! sectional vs sofa? square vs circular dining? entrance is right of the large window, another exit opposite the fireplace.
