Ficus Bugs

last modified: 9 years ago

Hi, I know this is a Fig forum, but I didn't see one for Ficus' and I'm not sure what to do.

There are these bugs on my Ficus and seem to live in the new buds, so all the new grow comes in warppled and yellow with some brown spotting.

It was outside since I first bought it in July and it seemed like it was doing fine but with some yellowing but I've been in the process of moving and starting graduate school so I honestly never paid that much attention to it except watering. I moved two weeks ago (Aug 11) and somehow in the stress of the move I didn't notice them until the led drop became very noticeable and daily. In the interim the bugs started to spread to my surrounding plants (getting on the leafy plants like my rubber trees while mostly ignoring my succulents).

I got Neem Oil yesterday afternoon (Sep 2) and sprayed down my ficus, including the soil, as well as my rubber plants.

I let them sit over night and picked off all the little bastards I could find on my surrounding plants and now have them as isolated as I can and just sprayed down the windowsill and wall around the ficus.

But I don't know what these are so I don't know if there's anything else I should be doing.
