Cute fall weight jackets?

Anyone seen any fall weight jackets that caught your eye this year? I think I might spring for one if I can find something I really like that's in my price range. But I'm not sure what I want really so I thought I'd ask here.

A few that seemed a little interesting to me (all from Nordstrom). These are all over the map style wise.

Oh, those are perfect for fall! I'm a sucker for the short coats. I'm especially partial to pea coats although one of my favorite fall coats is a long dark brown ann Taylor suede coat That i have had for a decade. (Remember when Ann Taylor used to have more edge to it? It's true!)

you've tapped into my favorite fall wardrobe piece. OK, boots are right up there too.

I love the jackets you've selected! I was looking at that free people jacket in olive to pick up as a gift for one of my nieces.. and I especially like the first one for myself. Perfect for Saturday market and running around!

I love fall jackets too. (And now that I have a bum foot, cute shoes aren't doable anymore.). I like the JCrew jacket (top), but I'm not sure about the color. It's a pretty rich brown, but I very seldom wear brown so my shoes and such all tend to be black.

I also really like the Free People one (middle) but the reviews aren't great. And I have not had great luck with Free People quality.

The last one is a really nice color, IMO. And I like the shape. It seems like a versatile style. But I'm not sure about a wool blend. I have kids and a dog and I like to be able to throw my everyday clothing in the wash.

Anyone run run across other fall jackets they like?

Last year I got the cutest very muted black watch plaid trench from Banana. I usually wear jeans or solid blue and black pants so it really goes with most of my wardrobe.

I guess I am not very trendy. My go to is a Patagonia down sweater. It's lightweight and bright red, one of my favorite colors, and I love wearing it. It goes in the wash easily & dries quickly. I also have a navy Burberry quilted jacket that is hip length. Maybe a tad bit more dressy than the Patagonia.

of the 3 you posted, the top one is really cute, but I would also prefer black or navy.

Plaid, now that would be a huge step for me. Lol. Dh says I am pattern phobic. I kind of like the idea of a longer length, though I'm not sure it looks as good on me.

I have the rei co-op knock off of the Patagonia down sweater in purple. It gets a lot of use. I think I'd like something a little less sporty too.

I have a coat fetish. Currently have been looking for a new cute rain jacket for about 6 months.

Here are some fall jackets I think are cute.

I have this Kuhl jacket but it's a little too small. I find Kuhl to run small in general, and if you're hippy at all, like I am, you wouldn't be able to button this at the bottom. I have another Kuhl winter coat that's more a-line and fits me much better.

I have this EF coat and love it. It's more fall-to-winter since it's wool, but it's not heavy. I do wish it was lined, though.

I also have an earlier version of this Gap jacket, in orange. I like jackets in fun colors.

Fall-weight jackets would actually be perfect for our relatively mild winters (thank you, Jesus!). No snow. :)

I have the Eileen fisher boiled wool coat-- or a prior season's version of it. I LOVE it. It's much softer than other brands' boiled wool and it is a great length.

Me to self: Step away from the jackets.

Someone on another forum I frequent shared this jacket- toggle jacket from qvc which I am actually considering.......never bought clothing from qvc but there's an idea.and another similar quite reasonably priced ( edited to add that they come up in strange colors but the options are for very normal attractive colors)

Mtn, The author Kim Johnson Gross, wrote the book What to Wear for the Rest of Your Life. She did a book signing in my town and spoke about how to dress as we age. Fun topic.

Her signature look was wearing white denim jeans all year round.

I had a friend years ago that had lots of jackets. She said something that struck a chord with me. She said that she liked having lots of jackets and coats because usually when she would bump into people, she would be outside and she liked having a variety!

For my thinner jackets, I sometimes like to coordinate my top to it.

    New York and the Rockies.

It was an interesting presentation. My personal issue is looking current but still looking my age.

I like the Eileen Fischer jacket above. It's a bit above my price range though. And again, wool, which I can't throw in the machine if it somehow ends up falling through the bleachers at the baseball game or a kid spills soda on it. (And this is why I don't wear white jeans no matter what season it is.). Hmm, still contemplating.
