North Wind is one of my favorite JMs, even including all the palmatum cultivars. It's a beauty. I did see several large Ice Dragons at a specialty nursery this spring-- they seem to be very vigorous! What do you think of their form and growth?

I really like the form of the Ice Dragon but mine came well pruned. The one on the Iseli web site needs to be pruned. On mine the limbs are horizontal and somewhat sinuous. It is pruned so that you can see the limb structure and the trunk. . Mine has only been in the ground for a year so it hasn't grown much yet. It is about 4 1/2 feet tall.

If I'm not mistaken this is from their Jack Frost collection does anyone know how I can get one.

I'm sure there are other ways, but two that I tried:

1. Called my local nurseries and asked which ones would put in an order and/or buy a few and ship them in the spring (Iseli supplies a lot of nurseries, so it's likely at least one local nursery has an Iseli shipment coming in every spring).
   
2. Called Iseli and asked them which nurseries near me were selling North Wind and/or other Jack Frost collection maples. This was several years ago, but they were very helpful and found a few places I could check out.
