Tattooed hoya... the horror!

I've done that before (with epiphyllums, not hoyas, though!).

Almost a yr with it. Figured it would have washed off by now.

This Hoya is the slowest grower for me. 2 leaves in a yr. Looks like it MIGHT push out a new "something" soon.

Lydia, maybe it's offended. Kinda like if my employer insisted that I get one of those injected RFID tags, I'd quietly go on strike. ;-)

No wonder she won't grow! We keep the house on the dark side to try to keep it cool. Only room that's bright is my bathroom. I think I'll take this one and Bella and place them in there. Thanks aurorawa

No problem! Ink won't really harm the leaf, I promise. Ric Moreir marked one of the cuttings he sent me in permanent marker (EPC 360), and that leaf is still on the now 3 yo. plant, which has grown quite a bit.

Funny how some leaves stay on the plant forever and some drop instantly....I love all my "Ric" cuttings! So generous to give free cutting with purchase and they are "not so common" Hoyas.....Thanks Ric!!

I have seen that a lot with irises that people are selling.

I had only seen it on epiphyllums like aurorawa mentioned. I know those cuttings look alike and you can only tell which it is by it's bloom.

Yep, I've done that before. Not so good for long term...hehe!
