Al seeds sinking dont mean anything i have had a lot of seeds sink they germinate fine i prefer finer coir so so i can sow them just under the surface about 1mm just so i can stop the seed from drying out and mist them twice a day . Sit them on a warm surface water heater is good me myself i use heat pads.all the best:×)

I have finer and I'm being lazy wetting down that block since I don't know where I will use it other than house plants. I also wanted to see if this would work. 2 cf goes a long way unless you are filling huge pots then I end up going 2.5 to 3 blocks for a tree Ocotillo. I may have to get a heat pad as our nights are dropping into then 70's and the days are still in the upper 90's and lower 100's

Al, your coco coir looks like mulch, I would have put them in coco peat, seed rising coco, much finer. You would've been better off sprouting in wet paper towel as they need to be moist. All you can do now is spray them with a mist of water when the surface looks a bit dry, and keep them covered untill they sprout. Don't put them in direct sun as they can cook under the cover.

7 Days in and have new growth despite the first couple of rainy days and hopefully not to much full sun when the clouds went away for a while. Now I will have to bring them in during the night as the temperatures drop below 70 this week.

it is coco chunks I thought I would try it out as it seems to have smaller chunks/fiber with the large in this block compared to where I purchased my very first block years ago at a high cost store. Seems odd there would be a difference as all the stores in Tucson that sell Coir come from the same source.

I saw this YouTube video and growing adenium from seed this guy planted seed in coco peat and thru some seed in a potted plant(looked like dirt not potting soil). His plants that were grown in peat grew tall and lanky and the ones in with a potted plant were much smaller, shorter and fat. It makes wonder if the medium is really making that much of a difference as I purchased 4 seed grown plants off Ebay, two that I new were seed grown and two that I thought were rooted cutting until I looked at her write ups again two years later that now says seed grown which I know wasn't there when purchased. Three out of the four are really tall and one is short and fat with lots of branches. So far two have bloomed and are generic.
