I have this Mark Dimmitt special that was a gift, originally in a six inch pot (possibly 4/5 years ago) and potted up to a 17 inch pot and raised 2 inches. I would swear that in less than three months that it raised itself in the pot and I know that it has fattened up as I have had to move rocks off the plant to make room.

Jun 25th is when I potted up.

I have never seen roots like this except on this plant, I also have not washed away the coir since purchase to look at the base. I also don't remember if this was labeled Compact or Dwarf, I think Compact. Does anyone know if I can do that fancy above ground tree root thing that is done in Thailand? I am experimenting with a couple of Ebay purchases by putting a disc under the roots to force them out arrange.

The one above has really fattened up since June 21 and the seller didn't have a name other than Arabicum.
