They are a selection of reblooming azaleas much like the Encore series. Like any azalea, they are very shade tolerant but will not produce the abundance of flowers in a heavy or all day shade situation.

I could put my regular azaleas down but I think this spot would not handle Encore azaleas as they say they need more sun. Would you say this is an in-between variety ? I cant find anything on them except their site. Summer deciduous trees block the sun a lot so i am very mixed, but winter until march is very open with sun. If it helps, my orange ditch lilies bloom great in this same spot.

This is what the website says: "Morning sun and afternoon shade, or full sun in cooler climates", which is pretty much the siting suggestions for any azalea.

@aytbakur - this is good to know as I have afternoon Sun Also. I am now debating a pink ribbons Deja Bloom to put next to the pricier Encore Azalea 1 gallons that I already purchased. I am in zone 7also: based on what you said we'll try the Pink Ribbons

I'm interested in this as well. Bloom a thons bloom in a lot heavier shade than encores do. But they are very hard to find right now. Saw these at the nursery but no one seems to know a lot about
