here is a picture of my setup. All my plants are in a grow tent which is in my basement. The led light is the only light they receive and they are doing great. No leaf drop yet and a lot of grow. It s the first season that I have this setup so I am still experimenting for the long term. My plants will have to stay in there untol next spring.

It s a led grow light with full spectrum which should support both flowering/growing stage. I have a lot of trees that are in different stage of growing. Some are big enought to flower and some are smaller so they stoll needto grow. That s why I prefer a full spectrum light.

Amy what brand of lights do you use? And what fixtures? Last year I had my plant under a 3' led shop light and bulbs where marked as day light and 2300 lumen. Seemed very bright. Unfortunately lots of spider mite and scales and me not very attentive. So can not say if that was good or not. This year I want to provide the best growing condition possible. Maybe combining red light with white? What is the temperature from the lights? Any extra heat source?

The one I use is called bestva. It's a 1000w grow light full spectrum avalaible via amazon. In the light specification, it's say that the average power consumption is supposed to be 185w. I hope that is true if not my husband will really put a stop to all my future ambition. At first I thought that led grow light will not generate any heat. It s not the case with my light because I register a temperature of 80F during the day and 68F during the night. My set up is in my basement, so the majority of the heat is not coming from any other source.

My plants are indoors for a few weeks now and they are growing well . Here are some pictures.

I do. 8:am to 12:am for my trees. Not that it matters.

My plants are also in a 15'x15' grow room in my basement. I have about 2/3 plumerias and 1/3 citrus. I grow almost everything under six 4ft- 8 lamp T5HO lights, mixing half red and half blue bulbs. Also have 7 single bulb 36W LED lamps. I've been taught that flowering, setting and ripening can only happen with the addition of red lights. Always used them so have nothing to compare to. But mine flower and produce well.

I'll be very curious to hear what the more experienced growers here say.

I'd love to know as well if I should be adding any red spectrum lights to my winter set up. Last year I only had 2 trees so this year will be dramatically different with 18. I am planning on putting as many as will fit in the garage and keep a few of the struggling ones in my craft room next to the window with additional lamps. I use the same Ikea lamp, reflectors and CFL setup as Laura does and plan on adding more lamps to accommodate the new trees.

Check out what Laura did last winter. It worked very nicely.

does anyone have an input on this light here? It seems like people like it, but I don't see anyone mentioning citrus
