We've been given our kitchen plan. Seeing the plan seems it's okay but may need a few changes.
Like thinking whether to have an island or not as the kitchen seems moderate in size. So it may end up looking to squeezed .

And the main reason for advice is. I'm not to familiar with material for cabinets and cupboards from color to type. If I could be suggested with color and type of material to be used.

I would like to have white marble for cabinets with a touch of wood effect within the kitchen.
What do u think? Any suggestions on the changes as it's on a contract given to an external designer. His asked if we would like a few changes as it looked too simple to us.

Fridge/sink/range too far apart. Is there at least 42" between countertops? You want 48" minimum between fridge and island seating. Do you actually need this much cabinetry? Are you good with a kitchen that is self contained and not open to any other spaces?

I think a "simple" design will stand the test of time for style. I do not care for the 4" backsplash above the counter, however. Also, I think you need some 4" recessed lighting surrounding the kitchen cabinets as well. I do not see a planned window. Is there a window somewhere for some natural light??

The window is in the corner between the stove and sink . I must say the window is quite big. It doesn't show much in the plan it seems

By the way the floor tiling is done. The next move is to choose the wall tiles

congrats on your new kitchen!! I think that island will be barrier. it is in the middle of your work triangle. it will be annoying and in the way how it is designed right now. the easy fix would be to get rid of island and use free floating furniture (table / mobile island) and keep it flex space. possibly someone may have suggestions to improve work triangle if your set on an island?

Thinking of putting two fridges and a double door oven. Thinking on removing the cabinets under the island.

Anyone having a better idea of placing the island elsewhere or perhaps a join with the cabinets?

Island is needed and a mobile one I'm a bit worried kids will start playing around.

It's beautiful. You need to shop the choices for cabinets. You have to see and touch them.

are you saying you still want island/peninsula? where do the two doorways lead from the kitchen? if yippy really want a peninsula, you could shift the cooktop left and then create a run of cabinets ( peninsula) separating the work triangle and the entryway. ((unsure whether that works bc I don't know where those entryways lead))

Well I do really want an island. Umm the the door by the window goes to the laundry room and workers area.
And the second door is the entry way were the living room and dining is and the pantry.
I'm not getting the peninsula. Could u send me of what u mean.
The fridge is to near the island and it does seem to make the kitchen congested but I really need it.
Please help
