Very beautiful! Same happened to a cutting i was rooting. It had a peduncle and it budded up. Dropped all but 2 but it was exciting to see anyway!!

Is that your inner variegated multiflora?

I agree Lydia, the "cup is half full", LOL. There's another small peduncle which hasn't been growing much. But it's been hot, dry and windy for the past few weeks and it makes me wonder whether the flowers don't like that.

Triffidmoss, yes, that's the 'inner variegation' plant. The 'outer variegation' plant is just starting to form a couple of peduncles. How's your kerrii Albomarginata? A friend recently emailed me a photo of kerrii in habitat in Thailand. The area looked just like woodland areas around Darwin. Looks like they might prefer it hot and on the dry side. I know mine that was over watered by Bunnings came good when I let it dry out.

My last remaining albo kerrii has just started to get those spots that lead to rot :( I have two normal ones and they are thriving! Just starting to put out new growth now Winter is over. They don't mind the cold or the heat.

My multifloras grow peduncles then drop them, same as their new leaves... rotten things.
