I haven't tried them but I think a guy in the D.C. area has. He has been testing several begonias for hardiness. These are from Terra Nova and look like they have Benitochiba genetics in them. Dan Heims (quite a character) is the owner of Terra Nova and his specialty has been Heuchera and Tiarella.

Probably the most popular are Connee (or Connie) Boswell and Little Brother Montgomery. The hybridizer named his hybrids after jazz musicians. The parent (species) is diadema.
