Yours seems to be a much more saturated purple than I've seen before, I like it! What is the second plant? It looks stunning as well.

I set the vibrancy to +10 in ACR which may be a bit intense but I set it for printing on aluminum. These are very purple though compared to my next clone that is about to bloom. I guess i"m saying it is not far off.

The second plant is an Amarygia is (Amaryllis x Brunsvigia).

Glad you liked them. Have yours gotten any bigger? My second one will be in flower later this afternoon - only 6 flowers on this one compared to the 9 I had on the one above. I'll take pics as always. I have started printing some of my flower pics on Aluminum for the office, gifts, etc. People seem to like them and they require no care :o) Dan

I have two pipsqueak little ones that are the only survivors of five seeds that were planted and I'm sure I'll be very old and (more) gray before they flower :-)))

A second clone bloomed this week so I wanted to share again. As you can see, the flowers are rather different on this one. They are way more open and somewhat less trumpet shaped and they also have way less purple that does not extend down the petals as far. I think they also have less spots. They are way wider though - when they first open they are 7.5" across. Hope you like them :o) Dan

Wow! It really complements the purple. I love the stand you picked out too, it is reminiscent of an epiphyte.

Thanks. I made the stand from a cherry tree that fell in the yard early this past spring. I've never seen such a contorted cherry so decided I had to make some things out of it :o) Dan

That is a beautifully healthy plant and I can't believe all of that is growing in such a relatively small pot. The cherry stump/stand is quite beautiful as well.

Hi Fred, I'd be tempted to pot them up again, but they already weigh a lot and if they were even in bigger pots they would be tough to lift and move around. On a positive note, it seems like I have some seed pods starting to grow, but it is too early to call it a success yet. I find that I need a month or so to make sure they do not abort. With any luck I will have seed in Jan/Feb :o) Dan

After a few months I am happy to say that I just harvested my first seed pod from the first Worsleya above. The seed were very thick and crinkled like always so I'm sure they will germinate well. The first pod of seed is going to Australia to a top grower as he had asked for seed from my plant for the past few years. I have 5 more pods that should ripen over the next week so hopefully I will have some to sell from those pods that helps me pay for my habit of growing too many plants :o) Dan

When you email me I will give you the particulars on cost, etc. Of course, if you live outside the US I always declare these as Worsleya seed on the Customs declaration so if they will get confiscated this is not something you should do. Dan
