Condenser coil question

My central AC hasn’t worked in 2 years. Had tech out 2 days ago, he fixed it. Just a burnt wire. But this is what we discovered. (See pictures below)

2 years of dog pee. Since it didn’t work for 2 years I didn’t keep up on hosing it out.

Tech said it won’t last thru next summer like this. Does it really need all those fins??

    Well, if the pee damage is only in 1/2 of one corner, you'll probably lose 10%-15% heat exchange capability at the condenser. However, if its eaten into the copper tubing then the tech is probably right - could go out at any minute. Also, the loss of cooling capacity will put additional stress on the compressor. Either way, start saving up for a new one!
