I think if the roots were more robust, then it might add a sprout. So no on the roots. The upper has a chance. Bright shade outside. No direct sun for now. I have a root stimulant called maxi-crop that I would spray it a lot instead of water until I saw the start of a root. Spray every day. This vanda appears to have been under watered. They need water daily. It could collapse but it is worth a try.

Wow, I have an orchid I have had for a few years, but honestly I am no expert. Not to be contrary, but those roots took my breath away, they are so large and green. If it's possible to get an orchid to regrow from roots, I am so curious to know how it works out.

The green is algae. And there are no translucent tips. That indicates good root health. Not this plant. My guess is it was under watered. Roots need to be white except when they are watered. They turn green after watering. Not algae green.
