2017: a learning year

I've learned a bit about indoor growing this year. My plumies had a good start out of dormancy this spring, they like full sun, right?? Outside we go! Sunburn?!? But they like full sun! Sunburnt leaves TWICE before I figured it out. Then I upgraded from the 4x32W T8 grow light to (3) 4xT5HO lights (later unplugged one fixture....just too hot over my 12 plants for now). Now I have them on a table (on the floor sucked....). Had a few fungus gnats, not too bad. Then I went to Wyoming for the solar eclipse, and when I came back....sadness :( Major spider mite infestation, and near-total loss of leaves :( Now I take the plumies outside every week for a neem oil spray. I just don't leave them in the full 100 degree sun too long. Almost all the diseased leaves have dropped, new growth is (mostly) good, a few warped leaves still. I'm hoping that next spring will bring tons of inflows. Here's to the 2018 growing season!
