I like the look of the tree with the dangling branch. Unless space is an issue, I'd leave it. Otherwise I'd trim like Vladimir suggested. Beautiful tree!

Thank you. It's a cara cara, it flowered and had 3 tiny oranges that fell off, maybe next year if it does well over winter.

Esmeralda that looks very beautiful. I would leave it as is and wait till next year late spring for bringing it in shape. Where are you located? Do you have the tree keeping inside for winter?

More foliage = more fruit. I would not touch it!

Thanks Susanne I'm in Mass, 6B. I bring it in winter, today and tomorrow it will be in due to maybe heavy rain and wind.

I would not prune. Your tree will do better with more leaves on it.

I would never even consider pruning a citrus tree that small.
