I had a fig tasting at a tail gate party this past weekend at the USC/
Kentucky game. I laid out plates of the following: Red Lebanese Bekaa
Valley, Noire de Barbentane, JH Adriatic, Longue D’Aout, Calderona, Capol
Curt Negra, RdB, BT, !-258, Battagalia Green, CdM Blanc. Everyone liked
all of the figs and were amazed at how many different types of figs there were.
These were all non fig people. There wasn’t a fig they didn’t like, but everyone, to a person came back to Noire de Barbentane. It was the hands down winner.

Very nice! Have heard some say Violette de Sollies is the same fig?
