First of all, your light is not centered over the table, and that will keep the room from having a balanced feeling in the end. Before deciding on anything else, either fix the position of the lamp or the change the layout of your room. As for the wood color, many natural wood colors go good together. Do not worry about getting the exact espresso color, but do not go for black. Another idea is a custom made cabinet in off white that mimics the frieze on the floor and the door. Also, since your floor is very dark you might want to use a carpet to keep the floor blending with the dark colored table. A mirror will definitely pick the room up. Nice colors on the wall and chairs. You can keep two chairs on each side of the buffet and have a more spacious feel around the table with only six chairs.

Try something with color! Sage or plum or raspberry with detail. Your room is very nice, but you need some color, some drama. Then accent with some ceramic art or an abstract art piece to hang over the buffet. Bring a color into the room that is used in another part of the house to create harmony and flow.
