Outdoor Deck furniture

We recently had our deck refinished. It is a large space and leads to our front door (second level). We have had a patio table, chairs and umbrella out there for years. Now that the kids are older, we want to change it up. The sun is harsh, so anything with color fades. We need an oversized umbrella as well. Would love some opinion on the space. Thanks

For years we had umbrellas rolling around giving us shade. . We finally had a covered patio cover to shade for our sitting area and dining table. Boom...problem solved.

Did you have it custom made? We get back winds so need to be able to take it up and down.

It gets windy where we are so we have to use heavy wood outdoor furniture...otherwise it self arranges...

Instead of a patio table per se, I'd propose styling the space like a family room - an extension of the house. An outdoor area rug, a small sofa, coffee table and two chair. How about putting the sofa facing the fireplace? Then, sort of like a console table a cute wrought iron bistro table and two chairs for morning coffee. For sun shade, I'd get a HUGE square offset umbrella.
