I've been buying a number of small cheap flowering Phalaenopsis for setting up around a fountain. Still in their opriginal pots, with our hot weather the flowers haven't been lasting long. Just recently bought a medium sized one that particularly appealed to me, being different to the others. But now, a couple of weeks later, the flowers are still in all their glory with a lot of healthy buds waiting in line. Despite the hot weather there's no sign of the deterioration the others had shown. They're only those mass produced Phals that the big stores sell.
