Vinca vs. ~patiens~

With the DM lingering, this year, I went and tested 3 new annuals I've never used. Vinca's, New Guinea and Sunpatiens.

The Vinca's blew me away. Not as many blooms as the latter but close, rebloomed consistent, took the morning-mid noon sun like a champ, and even thrived without daily watering !

The New Guineas I tested in both sun and mid sun/shade locations. Under a tree bed, it leafed out beautifully and even though sun was hitting it , blossoms were nary to nil

In straight up all day sun conditions ( I know the NG is speced to not like this), it's Blossoms would melt off by 10:30AM, and it not flourish at all.

Sunpatiens.....not sure what they run in your neck of the woods, and I know they cost so much as it's a ~licensed~ plant and it's grafted, and I believe they were 3-4X $ per transplant.

Bloom colors aside, I was blown away with the Vinca's. Will be trying seeds next year, and do plan to try Bounce Impatiens for my own wiki.
