Interior Design Help!

Our new home is about 2 weeks away from being finished!
I am designing the home to have a modern/high glamour style. I have lots of black & white furniture and accessories but I'm confused about what to do with my entrance hall? I want a nice feature pendant light but not sure what style and what else will work in the space? Any suggestions would be great!

If you're going with black and white elsewhere, why not bring it into the entry with either a black and white wallpaper or a black stencil pattern on the white walls. Then add pictures or mirrors.

Maybe a modern black and silver metallic wallpaper on the ceiling cove along with the light pendant.

Both good suggestions but I'm confused about where the wallpaper would go? I have a large circle and a large rectangle mirror with beveled edges but not sure which one to use?

Doesn't need much as this is a light and airy space to begin with.

I would wallpaper the entire recessed wall areas, the back walls and side wall parts, but not the posts. I would go for more circular decorations here or a mix given all the angular straight lines.

You could do the back wall in horizontal stripes, black flat and gloss:

But, however tempting it may be, don't put a mirror on the back wall. Bad Feng Shui. And even if you don't believe in Feng Shui, a mirror opposite the front door bounces all the good energy back out again, I wouldn't take the risk ;-)

The left wall, the end part, could be a good space for a console table with mirror over it.

Paint the recessed part of the ceiling black, add a bling type of light fixture and a gorgeous rug et voilá...

Something like this perhaps, has the edges of the rug and the roundnes to connect to the mirrored console:

Maybe pick some ceiling lights for that area... You have a lot of light in that area so you don't really need too much...

I'd love to wallpaper the back wall but this is my hallway, which is the rear wall behind the entry. I think wallpaper will be too much? Suggestions?
Thank you so much for everyone's help!

Hmm... yes, okay, that's a good point. perhaps all black will be a bit much, but an interesting wallpaper, if you want to keep it light, something that has a flat/sheen pattern, or a structured wallpaper is certainly an option. Also, vertical black and white stripes will be great on just the wall on the right, detracts the attention of it being long and narrow. Or another interesting pattern. You could also use wall decals. There are really nice ones of trees with little birds.
    Options galore!

Hi MissLea, is that a custom made entrance door?

The back wall does not need to be wallpapered. I would put the black patteren paper on the 4 walls of the foyer and then a rug with the same colors in it.. Depending on how brave you are there are now some pretty textured alligator or shagreen papers that are really modern looking in many colors. Then hang a beautigul large paintingon the back/hall wall that would give an excellent vista as you enter the home. I agree no mirror. The unexpected may be to wallpaper the columns only in a great geometric, lattice style paper and then paint the walls a glossy milky white lacquer. A lucite console will work well there in either senario. Good Luck

Thanks everyone. I will be sure to post a photo once I decide what do to!
Ed: it's not a custom door, it still needs to be stained, i'm from Melbourne & it was purchased locally.

I share Carolins thoughts. She has provided great ideas for you. There is now wallpaper which can be put up no fuss, moved around & removed leaving no residue. Here is link to one of the companies:

The entrance to your home is most important. Careful attention will yield fabulous results! To counterbalance the yang energy (lots of white and angles in the pillars) you really need to bring some nature and yin energy (softness) to this space. A few plants, texture and color will create a welcoming space that will calm the mind upon entry. The foyer is where you transition from public space (outdoors) to your private sanctuary. It can really help to de-stress or can add to your stress. Balance is key!

This little gem is my creation.. something similar in the hall way would be fun.. I framed it by painting a frame on the wall

this would be neat in the entrance area.
I've seen this.. but have no idea how they actually do it.. I think they take wide boards install them horizontally 1" apart from each other. I've also seen this done in cement.

I would paint the ceiling dark slate gray. Add a black drum shade with crystals. Paper the walls with geometric pattern. Add a mirrored console to the wall on right with art above. A rug with black in it completes the look. The columns and soffits remain white to frame everything.

Not sure if anyone is interested but this is what I have done so far. This photo faces the opposite direction to the original. Our front door is on the right. Not too sure where to go from here?

Sure we are interested :-) Nice pendant. The mirror looks a bit small for that wall. We need more photos to get a better idea of the space.
Perhaps you like the idea of doing a collection of round mirrors on that wall? With a console table under it if there's space?
