Begonia propagation

Late last year I bought a nonstop tuberous begonia on impulse. I kept it indoors and in bloom until last May, then when it started to wither I cut off a number of leaves and rooted them in water. When each had roots of three quarter inch, I planted them in potting soil where they are today. Each one is standing tall and looks healthy but no further growth. I depotted one and it looked like there had been no growth in the root either. Any comments would be appreciated.
