Love the fixture, but wanted to know if this can this be installed without the down rod. My ceiling height is only 8', and it is hanging very low in my bedroom with all the crystals on it. The instructions in the box did not match the fixture. Also, do you supply a battery for the remote? There was not one in the box. You can email me at
