Thanks giving diner?

No, I just enjoy them when they are visiting :) Thinking about putting up a feeding station for them just don't know yet how to do that.

How cool!!!! They do not visit me:-(. Although we do get the occasional hawk...

Is there a way to make some use of them other than eat them by collecting their poop and using that as fertilizer?? I love them

Susanne, my sister gets a lot of them in her yard. It is more rural there. Even I get them stopping by at times and it is not at all rural where I am. They can be very aggressive at times and even go on the attack of her dog. They come right up on her front porch and chase them inside sometimes. My sister and her family like wildlife, but since they can be quite aggressive maybe you don't want to set up a feeding area in your yard....at least not near your house. When they come in my yard they have no fear of me and will follow me around but they have not tried to attack or chase me like those in my sister's area. Maybe those are hungrier.

I hope they are not aggressive. But maybe better to ditch the idea of feeding them.

Maybe grow some plants that they naturally forage on, that way you can still feed them but won't be attracting a huge horde of possibly vicious turkeys lol

Hopefully they are eating insects, which might be pests to your garden? If you feed them, it might reduce their insect-eating.

My slug-destroyer turtle has been chasing me around the yard this week (literally). He knows I will pull slugs out from under the pots for him. However, this could skew the natural diversity of his diet, so I am going to be mindful of that. He does also enjoy grubs, and worms. I have plenty of worms.

Good point hibiscus! I didn't consider them eating insects but that makes more sense as its natural diet. I guess best thing would be to plant whatever you want and hope they come to feast on the pests!

The only visitors I have in my backyard are mosquitos and other insects. :(
