A common error, is that the seat plate is assembled upside down. Also, once you install the seat plate and then the cylinder, weight has to be applied in order to engage the cylinder, have you tried that? Is the black piece here in the center supposed to move? The lever touches it but doesn't push it down. It seems to be an immovable piece.


I have raised the seat by separating the seat piece from the base and pushing on the piston

Assembled, the lever handle does nothing

Now that I pushed on the orange piston for a second time, the seat raised even more. It too high and I can't get it to lower back down
