I have tall orange cosmos blooming with every kind of marigold under the sun. Can't tell you how happy it makes me to look out my kitchen window on this exuberance of hot colors!

My husband grows Cosmos and Zinnias next to his greenhouse. He's a novice flower gardener and they thrived. His only fault was not deadheading. lol

Do poppies and cosmos bloom at the same time? I have Oriental Poppies that bloom in the spring, when I haven't even seen Cosmos up more than a few inches. Very pretty photos!

Some people might use the term "companion" a bit more broadly. It can be thought of as plants that bloom together, or also as plants that can be grown in the same space to extend bloom time.
