These mailboxes are versatile and can easily be mounted on a concrete pad, in a concrete pour, or over the top of a newly buried or existing post. If you have extreme cold in the winter you will need to bury your mounting post below the published frost line. A 4 x 4 wooden post with the corners shaved back for a snug fit, a 3 inch round metal or 4 inch round metal post all work well depending on your circumstances and resources.
