Very impressive Vernon! Having grown up in Ohio in a town that had a corn festival, I have always loved seeing fields of corn. The old saying up there was that you would have a great crop if the corn was "knee high by the 4th of July". Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! You are going to have a big corn harvest, congrats! I saw it on the news that the local corn maze survived Irma also.

In my garden I am growing cucumbers, summer squash and tomatoes...

There was a heritage farm (same family had been farming it for 5 generations) in my county that grew corn. Every year on the 4th of July, the men in the family (Grandpa, Dad and son) would pose in the same spot in the corn and the new picture would be posted in the local paper with the prior year's picture. Some years, the corn was chest high, others years it was below the knee. It was neat to see the family age and the grandson eventually take over the farm.
