Is the baby here yet? If not, you will definitely need a small lamp to turn on when it's night time feeding, or diaper changing. I think you might rethink have the bed in there because you won't have a guest sleeping if there's a baby in the crib. The only option I see would be to use a pendant light with a chain to plug in the wall socket, and affix a hook to the ceiling to hang it.

Or a slim floor lamp between the chair and the bed, so it can be lighting for rocking or for an overnight guest. Maybe the twin bed could be changed for a fold-out couch or futon to save space in the room and make it serve more purposes going forward...

HAVing any plug in lighting will not be a good idea once baby is mobile, but for a short term solution having a plug in wall sconce (IKEA has lots) would work. You can use plastic conduit to cover the wire and ideally you would plug the lamp in behind a solid piece of furniture (which almost be fastened to the wall of course) or use the screw on box covers toncover the outlet and plugged in cord.

BTW to other posters the bed in there I assume is for parent to stay in with baby, not for guests. Our LO is 14 months and still wakes twice a night - easier to have her in the room with us!

Thank you everyone! The bed is for my mom when the baby is first born since we don't have another guest room. The baby will be in our bedroom the first few months so my mom won't be sleeping in there with the baby. We'll probably put it away in storage down the line but we're cramming it in there for now so she can be with us :)
