Yes, I can. I'm designing a Christmas garden and have thirty some putz houses I made that I want to display on a slant - similar to a hill. I've been told that I should use foam and mold it (under the snow) to portray the shape I'm after, but have found no one who has used foam extensively and successfully. Thank you for replying.

Okay. I guess you could start with a piece of cardboard, masonite or styrofoam. Are you thinking of using spray foam, (Touch O' Foam or Great Stuff) to create hills and valleys and covering the 'landscape' with batting or artificial snow? Then placing your houses on it?

Or do you mean carving polystyrene with a hot wire?

You can find Great Stuff or Touch o' foam in any hardware store. Shake the can, point it at your base, push the button. It will make all the hills and valleys you want. It sticks to everything, so work outside and wear old clothes. Cover the landscape with batting from the fabric store quilt department. Place you houses and village elements wherever you wish.
