I'm expecting a Cenntenial Kumquat from them tomorow and just hope it will be similar quality.

Susanne, I hope it is just as lovely as your variegated calamondin. How did you end up with 2 separate shipments? Did you order them a day apart??

This tree is gorgeous! Well, now I have another to add back to the list. I had a bunch of variegated varieties that I wanted originally and swapped them for the non-variegated ones so I would have better production but your enthusiasm for variegated varieties has renewed my interest in them again.

Jinny your tree looks beautiful. Do you know why the fruit did not stick? I'm glad I ordered one too. It was an after thought a day later and why they did not arrive at the same day.

Sammers I ordered two calamondins for production from Harris for next spring ;) This one is mainly for enjoying the different shades of green and orange and little snacks. I heard they can get quiet sweet when left on the tree longer.

Dave do you have a variegated Calamondin? Ever tasted one?

Susanne, That is true from what I have experienced with my tree, the fruits were on for a while after they turned color and when I ate them they were sweet with a slight tart aftertaste.

Sammers, Susanne, that is what I am hoping for also..I picked most of the Calamondin fruit off of the young tree last year and this year I am leaving the fruit on. It has one large fruit that is turning orange, it is actually more orange than the picture is showing.. I hope it will be sweeter after the cool nights..

Susanne now that's a citrus tree stunning beautiful love the shape and size . Your going to love the fruit in beverages. Jinnylea gorgeous centennial I had one loved the tree then a couple of years ago it died overnight it happened very quickly . Here is a pic of my out of control variegated calamondin.

Thankyou so much Jinnylea and Susanne the calamondin was a rescue it was left to die in a couple of inches of snow and the temperature was 28 F I wasn't sure if it would make it but it has done remarkably well . Not sure how old the tree is there's is no date on the tag but it has doubled in size with some tender loving care .

Susanne I am not sure what happened to my centennial I think it might have been do to overcrowding and cool temperatures in my old greenhouse and when I brought it in for the winter it had lots of fruit on it so maybe some kind of collapse. Here is a pic taken in 2014

Thanks Sunshine . The most upsetting thing about the tree's death is that there was no time to change anything it was gone in about 24 hrs . I would love to hear from others if this same thing has happened to them .

Susanne my old greenhouse was a 6x8 it was so overcrowded I had pots on top of pots there were lots of larger tree's in there and the centennial was sitting underneath them so it did not see a lot of light but it was the same for others and they did fine so was the light issue the cause not sure .
