Wow, thank you! Quicker diagnosis than you'd probably get in my ED. :-)

Well, they're practically famous! And it's a good photo.

The key identifying feature of the marmorated stink bug is the light-colored markings on the antennae.

The experts on GW continue to amaze me! When taking the photo I wanted the body markings in focus, interesting to learn the antennae is key.

OMG I wish I lived in a magical land where I didn't know what a stink bug was! I'm in NJ and about 5 yrs ago they were so bad they literally (like literally, no exaggeration) covered the sides of the house every day. Not so bad anymore but still always around. Just saw one on the ceiling today as a matter of fact!!! It's so strange, some ppl can't smell them. I can smell one a mile away. Ugh, they're so ugly and prehistoric looking. I can't believe theyre not nation wide yet. You just blew my mind!

No way.... I guess I always just assumed they were nationwide by now. Never really thought about it.... I'm going to Google it on my own before you get a chance to answer but when and where did they first show up in America? Im 31 and moved approx fifteen miles north when I was 22. There were no stink bugs in my hometown but they swarmed in the new town. Maybe just coincidentally sky rocketed that year?

Allentown... I should have known! Haha no wonder I feel like I've been dealing with them forever, I only live 45 min from Allentown.

Since my dog takes her cue from me, she HATES stink bugs! If she sees one she can't reach she freaks out. If she can get it she snatches it up and eats it whole!! If it stinks her in the face she just immobilizes it until I can get a tissue and snag it. She knows she gets a treat to get the taste out of her mouth. Good girl!
