We just moved and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with this space. Bringing the furniture in towards the fireplace seems to create too much awkward unused space around the perimeter of the room but I'm not a fan of having everything pushed up against the walls either. The last two photos show the layout the previous owners used. The room opens to the entry on the left and to the kitchen on the right. There is also a hallway directly next to the edge of the couch. I'm not opposed to replacing furniture if necessary but I need a solid plan, any ideas are appreciated!
