That's not a trendy size/shape or color. He might have to change something to keep it cheap. If he's willing to go up to $35/sq. ft., he could do Fireclay. They have some nice blues.

Actually if he's willing to go with a cement tile, it can be had. But it will need to be sealed.

Don't know if it is a tile in stock or it would be a special order in that color. If he buys an in stock color it comes out to less than $12 a square foot.

Tell him to give them a call. They are very nice and helpful and I had no issues ordering my tile from them.

Thanks so much, for all these replies. He has a sample order into fire clay already, they are really the only one who makes the exact tile he wants. He won't purchase anything that needs to be sealed so if it come to that and he's not going to "buck up" for fire clay then he'll have to choose another option. Very helpful, all of you.
