Paint that looks like cedar, or teak?

We're trying to find an exterior house paint that looks like cedar, or maybe teak. Does anyone know of any? Ideally, we'd like to find a paint toward the reddish side of the spectrum of natural cedar variations. (So far, we found someone describing a faux stain furniture painting technique involving first painting a lighter shade and then painting darker shade on top. But we're concerned about the eventual repainting should a complex approach such as this be taken on the entire house. Would rather nail one predominant color that looks like cedar's predominant color, if possible. Having difficulty finding that. New teak, for example, seems to have a simple color without much grain that is nevertheless conveys a natural wood look. We believe that this sort of look would complement our blue metal roof. Real Cedar is naturally resistant to insects and rot.

Stain is recommended on cedar. First time, using Semi-transparent oil-based stain, and then often switching to a 'latex solid-stain' later on, if a more durable longer-lasting finish is desired. Latex is more resistant to mildew.

*A mildewcide additive can be added directly to any stain to keep mildew blooms in check, but is usually a concern only if the location is in part to full shade, or in a region that has frequent and/or high humidity.

Spraying annually or semi-annually with a bleach/water solution (1cup bleach to 1 gallon water, 1 splash jomax optional) applied with a pressure washer or pump sprayer, is an easy way to eradicate mildew spore. rinse with clean water.

I personally love the natural look and feel of Cedar. It requires a commitment of some (minimal imo) maintenance, so it is not for everyone. We are in Zone5. Cedar is common here, but cannot speak to how appropriate it would be in the tropics.

It's better as an accent. Just-cut cedar is really orange. Teak can be more brown. Do you have a photo of your house? Particularly the blue metal roof?

Mahalo all--and cool video on metal door staining.

Our bungalow is 1960s redwood t&g with a number of layers of paint on it. Not easy to see due to vegetation, but here are some photos. Wish we could strip and stain, but the expense would presumably be prohibitive.

My apologies for the delayed response-- thank you for your suggestions!

Also exploring the idea of some kind of cedar-look shake, but not sure about maintenance--suspect we'd thereby be providing a great home for mold, insects, etc., here in the tropics. :)

Question. We've assumed that stripping down to the redwood would involve a great investment of time and money, but it may be that the experts on this site might know of a means to achieve that, of which I'm not aware.

(A few months ago it took me most of a Saturday to remove the paint from one interior door. I used both chemicals and sanding, and never did get everything off. It's based on that experience that the idea of stripping down to the redwood on the house exterior does not seem feasible.)

I don't know a way to strip without notable time and effort. If the wood is removed it could be dipped in theory, but that sounds impractical.
