I would mount them on boards to mimic the bench, and perhaps just a little lower than your tape.

Well, you have 7 pieces of tape, not 6. You need 5 spaces between the 6 hooks, plus 2 spaces for clearance at the ends. that gives you 9.6"

Now, make it easy on yourself. Make the spacing 9". You'll have 4 extra inches; split it 2" on each end. (7 spaces times 9" = 63" plus 4" = 67")

Bring the hooks in 11' from the end of the wall, then every 9" is a hook (alternating upper and lower), and 11" to the end.
