This little guy is going to give me fits! I purchased it online (around April) and it arrived looking very much like a scrubby Charlie Brown Christmas tree... with a super long 8" rooted vine topped with three leaves and lots of remnants of leaves or cuts. I was bummed but determined...

I wasn't sure what I should do with the floppy thing, so I trellised it to keep it in place better. Not having read much about what a temperamental punk deykeae can be, I sprayed it with a watered down neem solution (in the evening) and realized the next day that it was furious. Tiny grey like specks covered the two most outer leaves. SOOO I left it alone, aside from weekly watering, and I tried my best to coo at it lovingly, while still giving it as much space from my babying as humanly possible. FINALLY I noticed a new beautiful leaf.... And then ANOTHER!

That's when IT decided to laugh in my face and drop the youngest leaf... and now it looks as if the vine growth is dying back.

I don't get it! sniff* tear*
