Passion Vine setting fruit in October

Hi,

I planted my first ever passion vine around March this year. We started it from a cutting in mid 2016, but it didn't do much until we put it in the ground. Most of this year it has been putting on leaves, but I just noticed it has set fruit and now it's the beginning of October. I'm in Houston so we can have very mild winters, but as well it can get down to freezing temps.

Am I likely to harvest the fruit or is it doomed due to fall arriving? Any advice?

I think it's a passiflora edulis, but not sure. I can see maybe 10 fruit so far and more flowers.
