Someone said low oil level switch? Added oil, it cranks. But fuse at solenoid keeps blowing. I have charger on battery but the solenoid keeps clicking/chattering?

The fuse at the solenoid as you mention is really the fuse for the whole tractor. A shorted headlight harness, alternator or ?? could be blowing the fuse. The solenoid can chatter from a battery that isn't strong enough, connections that aren't good at the battery, solenoid or ground cable end at the frame. It could even be the solenoid itself.

the clutch switch is hooked back up. we try 3-4 things and you lose track of what you did sometimes.

i think we added oil and had the clutch bypassed and headlights uplugged and the motor tried to crank? or at least something happened vs nothing.

so i hooked the clutch switch back up and i think the motor tries to crank now. we are going to replace the solenoid next since it is easy/cheap.

we got a new starter and new battery. the motor cranks and starts now. but, if you do not push in clutch pedal and than turn the key, the fuse blows. which seems odd. last winter we replaced trans with used trans and put in fresh fleet farm "hydro trans oil" but it would slip after 10min. so we drained "hydro" oil and put in 20-50 oil which so many say is the trick. maybe we should break down and buy some peerless oil for $18?
