one indication that something is viable in your area.. is whether the locals are still selling ...

if you are going to mail order them.. then you have to be careful what zone you bring them in from.. as they would need to harden off for winter .. before it gets too cold....

that said.. i dont know about box in particular .....

Ken, thank you very much. I was thinking of doing mail order from down south but your logic makes sense that they would need most of the year to harden up for the winter. I haven’t found any stock in Connecticut but saw some still available by mail order from down south. I will wait until the spring. Thank you, Richie

The lack of available stock in CT is likely related to the boxwood blight issue I referred to in your other post. It is just not a highly recommended plant for your area these days.
