Good sources for warm-weather summer bulbs

Having recently relocated from Pennsylvania to Houston, Texas, I need to establish a new set of good mail order sources that works for my new climate. There's a whole range of tender perennial bulbs that I can now grow, while most of the traditional spring bulbs are no longer good choices. What are some of your favorite sources for southern-climate bulbs?

I used to live in that area and you'll find much to enjoy in Houston. I saw on the Texas forum that Old House Garden is recommended with which I wholeheartedly agree. Brent & Becky's Bulbs is another great source with bulbs for both cold and warm climates. I think you'll also benefit from two books, Scott Ogden's "Garden Bulbs for the South" and Wiesinger & Welch's book about the bulbs mostly in Texas, 'The Bulb Hunter". They discuss many cultivars that should do well in your area. Bill Welch (from Texas A&M) also covers some bulbs in his "Heirloom Gardening in the South." Hope some of it helps.

Have a look at the website of the Pacific Bulb Society which lists several bulb and geophyte companies including the wonderful Telos.

Err, this discussion (and the one in Texas forums) persuaded me to order from Eden Blooms...wish me luck, their prices are good..and there was no real issue in Garden Watchdog.
