Yes everyone that grows in pots must root prune or the tree starts to suffer and eventually strangle itself.

Its a must to root prune.

Glad this was pointed out so people do not think all they have to do is grow fig plant in pot and fertilize in the colder zones as there is more to it to keep plant healthy.
