Refresher Course/Dwf Zonal

Ok, when I was a kid I remember having a red flowered dwarf zonal pelargonium. That's been at least thirty years now...and I've been gardening with other genuses, Gesneriads and Orchids mainly.

I was perusing here on GW and the idea struck me to reaccquire some geraniums.

Now, given that it's been almost forever since I last grew one, I thought it might be prudent to seek some advise.

So, here's what I think I remember. As much indoor windowsill sun as I can give (south window), porous soil mix (thinking about equal mix of spagnum based potting soil, perlite, and bark mix), occassional fertilization. Watering only when potting mix is very near totally dry.

Did I get anything wrong or miss something?

I remember the dwarf zonals being recommended as capable of flowering on and off all year.
