My first graft

last modified: 9 years ago

I’ve decided to graft one of the broken branches onto one of my seedlings. This is my first time grafting. It’s been 3 days and it looks like it’s accepting fine. I used the super glue method in the video below. I cut off all of the flower buds and all of the leaves.

Early stages yet, but hopefully it will take for you. It looks a very neat graft, the two pieces look very well matched in size so the graft site should be virtually unseen in a few months time. The better the match in size, the more chance of things taking. Must say I really dont like the look of grafts when they’re really obvious....this one looks real promising!
