Heavy vibration during spin cycle a drawback to stacking?

The washer of our current side-by-side duo vibrates extremely heavily during the spin cycle, to the point of moving around on the floor. Do these stacking units have greatly reduced or damped vibrations somehow so there is no danger of, say, the dryer falling off during the washer's spin cycle? Or are they fastened to each other somehow?

I just wanted to let you know I bought an older version of the Whirlpool Duo last year. Within the first week the washing machine was 'walking' all over the basement. I returned them and bought the newest model of Whirlpool Duo. No more walking. The sales manager at Lowe's told me Whirlpool had to correct the gears and center of gravity in the washing machines. I'm afraid it is your model of machines. Also, these machines are bolted together for stacking purposes. If the machines work properly you should not have any movement.

If this helps.. I have stacked Samsung washer & dryer I bought last year .. Very quiet .. No problems whatsoever.. Here's an image..

This is great. Have you clasped them to the wall by any chance? Do they vibrate and shift at all?

They are clasped together and they don't move. I just moved and bought the same thing.

DKamps: I didn't see your question till today. They are Samsung speedSpray PowerFoamVRT .. Dryer is Samsung- Steam..
